Sound Talking is a one-day event at the London Science Museum that seeks to explore the complex relationships between language and sound, both historically and in the present day.

The two talks will raise lots of ideas for discussion, including the impact of modern technologies in each period on the nature of work.

Local students have been working with Dr John Traill (University of Oxford) to compose musical pieces about science and medicine. For inspiration, the students attended the Contagion Cabaret at Oxford's Curiosity Carnival in September.
